In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to share the very special and beautiful session from my dear sorority sister and friend, Kenia.

Kenia is a WARRIOR…a survivor! She overcame breast cancer this year and shared her testimony (and continued to encourage others!) on her birthday on her Facebook page. I can’t help but to tear up each time I watch it. What a wonderful testimony of faith!

We began discussing her family photo session back in April and knew that we would be doing the session in July after she was recovered and healed from her final procedure. We chose the beautiful Isle of Palms, South Carolina to capture this session.

Here are a few of my favorite photos of the beautiful Pointer family.

I am truly honored to have been able to celebrate with this beautiful family, and capture them in photos. I am so thankful that Kenia followed her instincts, that her procedure was successful, and that the Pointer family is able to celebrate many more beautiful years together.
